It will probably be a reason for them to cooperate more than they have in the past, but if they were smart, they'd have been better off paying the money and not having to deal with the NCAA, assuming they do fire him...

Not sure why all of the news outlets are jumping on this. To me, this has been public knowledge for a while now. I don't really see anything new, but at least they're keeping this in the open.

Seems to me, the NCAA has been posturing towards Auburn for a while now with not a whole lot of action.

Chizik's restructured contract doesn't tie in investigations with his pay or buyout.

I don't know of any questions being asked other than Jovon. The Trooper and Luper stuff is unrelated. If they're digging into more than Jovon, no one has an idea what it is about--including Forde or it would've been reported. This article was a rehash of the old crap from August.

This season sucked so bad I don't care. To be clear, I'm not trying to defend just passing along what info I have. No need for your brethren across the net to dust off their megathreads quite yet.

I always thought Chizik ran a clean program. I don't recall of ever hearing Chizik even talking to the NCAA before he got to Auburn.
