I think having limited opportunities doomed us. I mean, a few quarterbacks did not know if they could commit or not as of the weekend. That's tough. It's easy to say now, but we should have let the ones commit that were willing to commit instead of holding out. Sure, the odds were with us that we wouldn't whiff like this, but sometimes you gotta take the guys that want it the most over the talent. I refer back to the Coach Bryant speech about ability here.

The ability we have had to recruit nationally has been staggering. I just don't think the national buzz with recruits was around Alabama this time even after the NC. That's super strange. Maybe that kind of thing is impossible to know until it's too late. But it just never felt like we caught up with plan B either. What a year.

Doesn't seem like Waddle is headed to Bama either. Rough day to say the least. We are just going to have to sign 30 next year and back count 5. Hahaha

Two NSD's means you can't slow play guys.
Negative recruiting against BAMA has been relentless.
Lots of coaches making promises of PT rather than promising a shot to compete.
Staff changes hurt. Don't be surprised if one more is moved on.
Still, a top 10 class of quality players added, a younger angry (Yes, they're angry!), and hungry staff of coaches, and still a loaded roster of players that'll take all this as disrespect.
We'll adjust to DL depth concerns and move ahead.
Big picture, we'll be on a mission in 2018.

If these same kids would have announced for Bama would you be celebrating?!

Same deal with Kirby... If he was signing these same kids at Bama he is at UGA, would the Kirby hate crowd be celebrating?!

Give me a break fellas... Y'all know what it is.

Bama held off too long on the top targets, didn't have a good enough feel, and lost the game of musical chairs. Keep in mind our staff was doing the same thing to kids along the way that the top recruits were doing to Bama... The wait and see game is risky.

Could still sign a few more guys though... Hopefully! Never know, it's Saban.

(If you're referring to the kid who through the UT hat before picking UGA... I just don't get that... And would agree that kid is has issues)

Let's be clear, Saban knows slow playing is risky and today he learned that's not going to work with two NSD, at issue is calling a school NSD morning to pledge your commitment and then signing elsewhere.
