📝 National Signing Day - 2018

I guess all that could be true but still why the disconnect between mom and son? The biggest thing in the kid's life and a recruiting process that has taken the recruit all over the place and the 2 didn't both know what the decision was at the same time? Not in my family.

I agree. Figured momma would definitely know, but maybe God spoke to him in the end and that's all he needed to make a last minute switch.

There is no excuse for the way she acted. However, I could see a parent getting really frustrated if they know the kid made a decision for the wrong reasons. I don't know if that's the case, but I would be upset if my daughter picked a school based on having a friend that goes to school A or the color of the grass at School B, etc.

Truth is coming out now....

Kinda what I was saying all day, when they get it straight from the player they are SOLID then basically hang up the phone and put on another cap, there is NOTHING you can do. It does make you wonder about all three flips. Of course all 2 of the three stayed home, the other Ross became 1 of 6 number one players in their states to sign with Clemson. Dabo may be the best recruiter out there right now. How the hell do you get 6 number 1 players from 6 different states. He keeps this up and the list will be super short for Bamas next head Coach lol He has auditioned well for some time now :) We have a great class ESPECIALLY the Dbacks BEST by position of ANY Saban class!!! RTR!!!! He is already loading up for 2019

Moving on to 2019, I would love to see a full court press for Ishmael Sopsher (DT), Nathan Pickering (SDE), Marcus Stripling (SDE), DeVonta Lee (WR), Theo Wease (WR), Tualia Tagovailoa (QB), Devyn Ford (RB) and John Emery (RB).

Not to disagree, but I really believe Tosh Lupio will be BAMA's next Head Coach. His apprenticeship has already begun. And watch out for several of the guys we have "committed" in the 2019 class. Trey Sanders and Deyavie Hammons have already jumped ship and Brandon Turnage is "dying" for an offer from his childhood favorite awbarn. This cycle of 'noncommittal commitments' is set to repeat itself next year. Just saying.

We don't know yet if he can be a DC. Lots of Saban boys out there with Bama ties. I haven't even ruled out Pruitt in the long run. That orange can leave a bad stain but with a sandblaster and a good grinder, it should come right off.

You have a point, but Saban will not let him fail. Tosh is the next Kirby. I just see him utilizing the Saban-Smart blueprint. By the time its completed, Saban will likely be ready to head the he lake.

Not that anyone at UA would know or care, but I will lose my mind if we don't get a proven HC when CNS retires. You don't hand the keys to the best race car in the series to an unproven driver. That said, don't be shocked if CNS coaches for a while. How many great coaches hang it up while they are still able to achieve at a high level?? Paterno criticized Bear for coaching too long and said he would never coach that long.

We see a coach act one way and then another often when they are in different surroundings. Putting Kirby back in Georgia, add that to a booster network that rivals few, and you've got the recipe for some pretty serious negative recruiting. I'm not suggesting there's a Rodney Garner factor playing into the game in Athens. I'm certainly saying Kirby is throwing shit out there as well as any of them. He's certainly in an Urban Meyer league when it comes to pure bullshit on the recruiting trail.

Now, who does he have to report to at the end of the day?

FWIW Josh, I'd back off the mocking of Brown telling the UA staff his intentions were to sign with Bama. That's been going on for more than a few days now and it wasn't as if the staff suddenly lost contact. We'll see how it goes for him with this auspicious start of his collegiate career.

There's a major difference between negative recruiting and cheating. We may not like the negative recruiting tactic but that is not what crimsoncorner claimed, at least not his whole claim. He flat out said they are paying players. That is much different.
