📝 National Signing Day - 2018

Call me whatever, but I'll consider this disappointing if we don't get Petite-Frere, Campbell, Taylor-Stewart, Walker, or Peterson (if he is even considering us). That technically means the last week we have lost focus with guys and most likely never had them at that time. If we lose on that many targets on top of the ones we lost during the early signing period I would have to consider that a bust somewhere. You don't win a National Championship and have open spaces to clearly offer a chance to play and miss out on so many guys. No, the sky is not falling, no glass half empty stuff, just stating it would be very unfortunate to not snag a few of these guys that we reportedly had fresh in our sights last week.
All the coaching changes in the past few years really hindered our recruiting efforts. We missed on some guys because of this issue. Breath easy knowing that Saban has it covered. Thats why he went with a lot of young, energetic coaches to fill his staff. These are guys that the NFL and other teams hopefully won't be poaching in the near future. I truly believe its why he wanted Hugh Freeze as Offensive coordinator instead of Locksley. Freeze is a darn good coach, but he's damaged goods and will need time to rehab his image. Locksley has one good year and he's likely gone and here we go needing another offensive coordinator.

I will say, the surge in Gawga is noteworthy. We (BAMA) will have to continue to recruit and coach at a high level because Kirby is coming. And its a lot easier for him to recruit with all the talent in Georgia. JMO. ROLL TIDE!!!

I think @crimsoncorner is @TerryP 's alter ego or ghost write account. What do they call it, his pseudonym. He seems to have some good info on here and some connections in the know. Appreciate the info from both you guys. TerryP has a lot of respect and credibility around here. Look forward to holding you up there as well, Crimson. Hope your sources are reliable and accurate for this stuff.

What happened to the guy that joined and gave all the insider info before the playoffs? Telling us Mack, Lewis and Miller would be playing and such. Guy seemed to know his stuff and kept providing updates even though folks were blasting and mocking him. Haven't seen his posts since the NC game.
I definitely agree

Don't forget we probably gonna finish 2nd on Surtain. :poke2:

Seriously though, I think CNS sensed this SLIGHT dip in recruiting and took major strides in righting the recruiting ship with the new coaching hires. Every coach we've brought in are young and big time recruiters.

This class Top 10 IMO, not Top 3-5.

I've been friends with CC for a while now (Shula days). His info has always been 100% reliable and not public knowledge. I can't tell you how many great inside scoops he has provided. You can take what he says to the bank.

I hate to hear that. Disappointing. Guy has the tools and ability, a shame if he doesn't use it to its full potential. Looks like a beast. Julio was special, and gave a lot of effort all the time. Maybe this guy comes to the Capstone and gives it his all.

I mean, dont take my word for it. Maybe I just caught him on bad days, and dont get me wrong he still absolutely ABUSED Enterprise's DBs this year, but just watching him on plays he wasn't involved with was really disappointing to me. Because, I know Saban is not going to be okay with that at all, nor should he. Maybe a coaching staff like Bama's and to be around hard workers like Jeudy, Ruggs, etc. is all he needs.

^^ curious to see how the transitions. He's at a small school here in Texas and plays on both sides of the ball. Reminds me of Tyrone Swoopes, just don't think he's nearly athletic as Swoopes is.

I've seen Tyrone play football and basketball, really good basketball player in high school.

I'm confused
