📝 NATIONAL SIGNING DAY: 2017

According to 247sports, the state of Texas has 48 recruits rated a 5* or 4*...

There are (4) 5*, which none committed to a state school (FSU, Ohio State (2), and Stanford got them)

Gonna be interesting to see how this changes in the next few years. Sumlin is probably on his last year, Herman is about to get started (he's been recruiting the state for a few years now). Baylor is back to being Baylor and Texas Tech has taken a step back when comparing Leach to Kingsbury.

#12 Texas A&M - (6) 4*
#26 Texas - (6) 4*
#31 TCU - (4) 4*
#39 Baylor - jack shit
#52 Texas Tech - (1) 4*

Texas's best recruit from Texas is ranked #20...seriously?

Here's something I just came across that's worth keeping an eye out on.

In case you missed it, there's a rule change that's been submitted (voting in a few weeks) that would make it illegal for a school to hire a prospects coach. Markaviest Bryant signed with Auburn this past class.

IF this proposal passes in its current form it'll be retroactive to Jan. 1, 2017.

Saw this. I think we discussed this last year when Harbaugh hired Rashan Gary's ( recruit out of Paramus, NJ) old coach. An old tactic that has often blown up in the coaches face.

He's still got Bama number one, just a situation where he was being recruited by Napier and since Napier left he wants to see who Alabama sends his way again. Things change honestly, could be he just wants to see what comes with his visits and such in his senior season.

And the W's just keep coming in the 2017 class!

We got a walk on commitment from 6'6 310lb JUCO O Lineman, Jordan Harris.

He's been around the block, going from committed to Miss St in 2013, to Alabama State, to Morehouse, to JUCO. He also had reported offers from FSU and Michigan State out of HS.

Coaches list him as a JUCO All American. Looks slow footed, but definitely big and strong enough to compete at Guard. He looks a hell of a lot bigger than 310lbs honestly.
