Does it matter that Ozzie primarily was a Split End (SE - the old name for WR) when he was in college? There were some plays/formations where he came in tight, but for the most part he was split out wide.

QB Tua Tagovailoa
RB Derrick Henry
TE Ozzie Newsome
WR Amari Cooper
OL Barrett Jones(most versatile I’ve ever seen)
DL Jonathon Allen (could’ve put several here)
LB Derrick Thomas (best overall player on list)
DB Antonio Langham(couple others are close)
P toss up JK Scott/Lane Bearden
PK Jamie Christensen
Qb Tua
Rb Ingram
Te howard
Wr cooper
Ol a smith
DL q williams
Lb demeco ryans
Db Javier arenas
P scott
PK Leigh tiffin
These are some of favorites and sometimes I am picking how they played rather than overall skill during their time with us. I love LT and he was the best pass rusher of all time but as a true mlb I think Ryan’s, Mosley and Ragland during his time..I love arenas because of his effort, competitive spirit and ability to be at the right place at the right time, great pass rusher and best return guy of all time. Smith was a dominant as they came in college which almost made me pick Cody on DL because of how dominant he was but q demanded a double team and was able to rush the passer too
QB: Tua
RB: Trent Richardson
TE: Colin Peek
WR: Jalen Waddle
OL: Chance Warmack
DL: Q Williams
OLB: Derrick Thomas
ILB: Ro McCLain
DB: Minkah Fitz
P: JK Scott
K: L. Tiffin
Going a little older school (well except at a couple of positions)
QB Tua
RB Musso
TE Newsome
WR Julio Jones
OL Dwight Stevenson
DL Copeland
LB Woodrow Lowe -- wanted to be different but Thomas was the most dominant pass rusher ever.
DB Fitzpatrick
P Scott
K Phillip Doyle
QB - Tua Tagovailoa - best vision and anticipation I have ever seen, anywhere.
RB - TJ Yeldon - never brought down by first contact or arm tackle. Always feel forward and got yards. My favorite back at Alabama.
TE - OJ Howard - size and speed that could overpower anyone guarding him. Wasted a lot of time not using him, but when we did he excelled.
WR - Amari Cooper - had the speed and advanced route running ability over Julio in my mind for that stage in college. Set a ton of records. Ridley close 2nd.
OL - Barrett Jones - the guy was a Swiss Army Knife and could plug and play any position and excel. My accounting professors said he was a cerebral machine in the classroom too.
DL - Quinnen Williams - "like a bar of soap". He filled the gap and used leverage to set the line of scrimmage.
LB - CJ Mosley - could cover anyone and would be happy to fill a gap as well. Great all around backer that could do it all.
DB - Dre Kirkpatrick - tall and lengthy guy that had great coverage abilities and the size to pull it off. Fitzpatrick was forced to do more, but I always felt a liability in deep coverage where Kirkpatrick could be put out on an island and survive.
P - JK Scott - not much else to say about him other than he got screwed for the Ray Guy Award for three years.
K - Will Reichard - gamble. I wasn't around for Van and others, so gambling here with the potential future!
Sorry guys, I was putting my list together yesterday and duty called. Here is my list:
QB Joe Namath
RB Derrick Henry
TE Ozzie Newsome
WR Julio Jones
OL John Hannah
DL Marty Lyons
LB Derrick Thomas
DB Dre Kirkpatrick
P JK Scott
K Phillip Doyle
All great choices. For someone as well-rounded as CJ, if I remember one of his reasons for coming back for his final year was to improve his pass coverage skills. Worked out well with him.
