For me, it would be Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. I really enjoyed those two movies. They need a Hounds of the Baskervilles type one. I loved the Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce ones also.

Anything with Christoph Waltz in the cast is already good.
Sadly, it didn't do well enough at the box office to justify a sequel, but the last act set it up for one.

Great title! Man I could list a lot on here! But most I would like a remake of the actors have already passed away! @Kirk Van de Graaff I bought that and never have watched it, my daughter wanted to watch and grandson took it and hide it.
Those were great. RDJ as quirky, eccentric genius Sherlock is nearly as good as RDJ as Tony Stark.

Just my .02 (part of my gripe about sequels), Caddyshack 2 is without doubt the WORST movie ever made. I'd rather get into a political discussion online with both pro- and anti-Trumpers than suffer through that

@bama alum to me a sequel isn't a remake, it just a contending story. Now A Star Is Born. It has been remade 4-or 5 times One silent films, one with Judy Garland and James Mason, then Kris Kristofferson and Streisand then the one 2018. By the way, Caddy 2 you are right about it! Sh*t can all the way!
The thing about Sherlock Holmes type movies, Jame Bond, so forth, you can have the same characters and a different movie all in itself. Mystery, Spy type movies when I was younger always caught my attention. All of the older films like Charlie Chan, Thin Man Series. I loved them. RDJ and Jude Law have a good Chemistry, plus I like the dry humor.

Mission Impossible movies haven't been great. But, they've been entertaining.
Curious line dropped at the conclusion of the last one when Kittrich called the female, "Ethan Hunt." Unless I misheard the line...
