šŸˆ Najee's TD celebration to "honor" Megan Rapinoe.

If he would have done a " salute" to our POTUS you would have melted down like ice cream in Tuscaloosa this coming Saturday......

The POTUS isnt an athlete. A huge difference but completely unsurprising you would miss that distinction.

It's a pose from a great photo from an epic athletic performance where an ELITE athlete dominated and led a team to a world title for the USA.

There's no politics involved unless booger eaters want to inject it into the conversation to take away from Najee's amazing play

Gotta say you missed the entire mark as well. Her entire "look at me" during the World Cup was about politics. Elite athlete? That would be a stretch.

Yeah, except I wouldn't because I couldn't care less who an athlete supports.
Hold on now, Josh.

Look. I'm with you on some of your beliefs and don't agree with some of what you think about today's political climate. Who, or what, someone chooses to support is their decision. I don't hold it against them.

However, in this case I have to question what you just stated. If you couldn't care less about this story why did you choose to retweet? It doesn't click. Do you normally retweet things that you couldn't care less about?

You misunderstand me. He said if an athlete supported Trump I would freak out, I said no I wouldnt because I dont care who they support. Im pretty sure we've had this discussion last time Alabama visited the white house and I said I do not care. I can not care about athlete's political positions but also think it's cool that he saluted her at the same time.

I haven't seen Najee address the pose in any of his taped interviews, but I do know Business Insider is among the crappiest "news" sources on phones and computers. It's more click bait than journalism. I don't think he was intent on making a political statement at all - typically those occur before a game - and if he wasn't thinking about hurdling anyone until the very last moment, I doubt he has a planned celebration in mind.

Much, much ado about nothing.

RTR,

^ Absolutely. Like people here who are looking for something to argue about. Obviously there are limits to what one can do in the end zone (but thanks to the couple of Capt Obviouses for pointing that out), but I expect this was a one time thing and there was no threat of a flag.

Move on.

Is it? Horns down could result in an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

I didn't like Jalen and his "Superman/Cam" deal when he scored. But, I'll readily admit, I'm of the "get off my lawn" crowd when it comes to some things...like celebrations in the end zone. It wasn't a team thing, it was a me thing. It's something I don't care for...but that's ME.
So, then I assume you don’t like Tua’s bowing after a TD? Or when any of the QBs celebrate when they throw a TD?

I’m old fashioned in this case as I don’t care for a lot of celebration because there are 11 players that had to do their job and the culmination is a touchdown. In this case, once Najee passed the los, he did an outstanding job of getting in the end zone. He didn’t hurt anyone with what he did and I don’t believe it was political. But, some people are looking for something to argue about, when there’s nothing to argue about.
