While reading Gridscape, posters are referencing it all over the board (coming from sources and premium forums). Muschamp appears to be the early favorite.

TIFWIW (I'm not vouching for the validity) Chris Peterson is supposed to be coming into Knoxville, Thursday. If, and that's a big IF, that is true, it leads to an interesting dynamic regarding UT/Muschamp.

Scary thing about the events of today is that Tennessee can do nothing but improve over Kiffin... It is funny to see this happen to them, but I'm afraid the laughs will be short lived. Probation was sure to follow him at UT, now the Vols will get to say thank God he left when he screws up USC's probation and gets them the death penalty.

I'm not scared. Let them load up.

:fight:

Muschamp is the Head Coach in waiting at Texas. Why the heck would he goto the Vols?

I think he'd be crazy not to take it if offered. Mac Brown just signed a new 5 year deal, there's no telling when he'll actually leave and let Muschamp take over. UTn is a school that a good coach with good recruiting can win a lot and compete for championships.

Agreed. This whole "coach in waiting" thing is such a sham. Mack Brown has no intentions of quitting any time soon. Just look at what it has done to FSU in the last couple of seasons.

Muschamp would be a fool not to get out of Austin right now. At worse.....he could go to Tennessee for a couple of years and then walk right back into Texas and probably get that job when Brown does hang 'em up.

Chances are, Muschamp might never coach a game as the big man at Texas a this point.

Wow, I'm glad he's not coming but very surprised.

Why would he not take it? :headscratch: I mean I know it's Tennessee, but they were offering loads of cash and it's the SEC. The UGA folks are saying it's because he's a Georgia guy. I don't agree with that. That doesn't seem to matter much anymore.
