Not much of a wine drinker at all but had a good reference to try a "local" north Alabama winery in Albertville, Alabama so we visited it Saturday morning. It's about an hour and a half drive from Moulton to Albertville.

Jules Berta Vineyard according to them, is the "best winery in Alabama...AGAIN" or something similar.

We tasted all the Muscadine wine, they have 3 or 4 different types, and brought home Dixie Suga. May be a little sweet for some but we really liked it. If you're in the area and are hungry, they have very good pizzas too. $16 a bottle and they said it was found in some ABC stores.

My Dad made muscadine wine for years, always very sweet. His Aunt Maudie gave him the recipe, so that's the label I made for him for his mason jars. In general, it is too sweet for me, but it reminds me of home.

My aunt raised mucscadines for years. I remember as a boy picking them at my grandfathers in Haleyville. Would love to have a couple of bushes and see if they would grow in Ohio.

my dad makes it and also scupadine plus some other stuff that is clear like water but it doesn't smell like water
