It was the U.S. Attorney's investigation of Rife on federal drug-trafficking charges that led to Ohio State officials finding out about the improper benefits.

Hmmm. Wonder if this will be the last time this year we hear of a Federal Investigation into a person, revealing dirt about an NCAA football program.

Their attitude regarding all of this reminds me of our own "denial" during the Dubose years. The consensus then was that our HC was too dumb to know what was going on, while their HC is squarely in the middle of it. It looks very bad for the Buckeyes.

Having lived through both of our most recent probations and seeing our fans reactions to the sanctions in the '90's and '00's I can't believe how eerily similar statements are from all fan bases. You can see the same things some Bama fans were saying then on OSU boards now. Go back a year and a half and the same can be said for USC.

North Carolina fans are entering that realm as well...others soon to follow.
