| MBB/WBB ESPN Sources: Bruce Pearl's job in jeopardy if he doesn't cooperate in Auburn investigation

When there were fans here wanting Bama to hire Pearl I was, and still am, of the opinion he's overblown as a head coach.

People continually point to his run at Tennessee as proof that he's a good coach but never take into account that Kentucky was down as a program when Tennessee was making their run through the SEC.

Agreed.. Also notice what just came out the "assistant" from Louisville has already turned on Petino. Watch Pearson will turn on Pearl too. This how the feds conduct an investigation they will bring in the flunkie.. charge them with a bunch of things, several they probably couldn't make stick if they wanted to and then shake them down for info until they turn on the higher ups.. Petino already being called out will expedite Pearl trying to get a buyout and get fired.

Pearl and staff have explicitly told Auburn officials they will interview, but not right now due to legal advice from counsel. We understand that. But, not only that, the coaches have literally asked Auburn officials what would they do, if given the same advice from counsel? That conversation has happened. Auburn’s answer? They told coaches they’d do the exact same thing. Yet, they continue to demand interviews, while threatening firing. That’s astonishing.

Also, the question has been asked who would coach if Pearl was fired? Well, FYI, the entire staff is being prepared to be fired if Pearl goes first. The coaches don’t think Pearl will be fired and they’ll remain. Remember, they’re ALL refusing to interview, not just Pearl. Could Auburn fire Pearl and keep the staff? Sure, but seems that would only add to Pearl’s ammo for a lawsuit.

Randall Dickey is still around, FWIW.
