🏈 Miles moves #1 QB to WR for LSU

Correct me if I’m wrong, but he only ended up at LSU because Texas refused to offer him as anything other than a safety, correct? This happens all the time where a guy goes to his second or third choice school to avoid a position change, and then ends up changing positions anyway. Recruits should realize that coaches know best in these situations. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Seems to me, this way he will get a lot more playing time, which should make the kid happy even with teh position change

Guess that show that I am just a fan. Seems as if the #1 QB recruit (at time) in the country would have been coachable enough to be an effective QB, especially with his running ability should the protection break down.

Saban has been up front with recruits, no matter their prep position, that they will be recruited at Alabama to play a particular position. I suppose it has cost us a handful of recruits. This year's loss of several key recruits was mainly all negative recruiting, primarily by Agbarn. These things have a way of coming out on the field later on.

I thought Shepard was the future for them at QB. I thought he did an admirable job.

I think that Lswho was going to give him a "shot" at QB but had told him that he would be put where they needed him most. It sorta goes like the Rollison kid that was a top rated QB in high school last season and he decided to leave rather than make a position change or get in a log jam at QB.

An LSU buddy of mine has never wavered from day one that this kid's future was other than qb. His frustration was that this high school qb was not good enough at wr to break into the wr line up. I told his that I had to be honest in that he looked impressive on the sideline.

if your idea of a QB is someone who runs the ball, then I guess him changing is big news. He didn't throw a single pass in any of the times he got the ball in 2009 - all he does is runs, so this is a dumb update in my opinion. LSU is either not using him properly, or he isn't that good. i'm gonna go with LSU coaches just being dumbasses.

That is the problem at LSWho, their OC Gary Crowton does not appear to be much of a QB coach. Their fans are still complaining about not having a QB ready after they kicked Ryan Perrilloux off of the team. So now, Miles is going to essentially waste Russell Shepard. I have been hearing that he is having trouble picking up the offense. Y'all should have heard the locals here on the radio when Sheppard commited and entered school early last January -- they thought he was going to start as a freshman before Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson at QB and would lead them to the promise land. So what happened?
