🏈 Mike Leach is SO entertaining to me: Get's question asking for wedding advice ...

Funny guy....wouldn't he fit inwell in the SEC...maybe at ark....
He would pick up where Petrino left off, minus the Harley skid marks.
I doubt you know just how correct you are with that statement, scheme wise. They both trace back to Hal Mumme's scheme on offense (H/T to Lavell Edwards.)

Personality wise? Oh geez. SMDH. With 'Back fans? Yeah, that'd work.

Sure I do, and I hope it doesn't happen. It is one of those offenses that are so hybrid that it's hard to scheme against. Given our track record vs the Ole Miss of the worlds, not sure why I would want him in the west.

That's not as bad, but getting real close to being akin to fearing Gus because of the Kick 6. Think about those two wins by Ole Miss. One I'll give them.

When has Leach fielded a defense? It's not a scheme difficult to defend. It's about getting to the quarterback. If you can, his offense falls apart. Just like Petrino's.

And, of course, don't turn the ball over ... :blahblah:

I was happy for Petrino to go, frankly. I don't think he has been able to duplicate at Louisville what he was consistently doing at Arkansas, even with a Heisman QB. I wouldn't call the Razorbacks a sleeping giant, but they ain't Louisville. I would just rather avoid the whole Mike Leach thing in the west.

I never really gave him any more respect than Richt. Less, quite frankly. I was very familiar with what was going on at Arkansas those days. Never sweated a bit--even in the close game.

I'd rather see gus in Fayetteville. Of course, that puts the barn at risk of getting a top-notch coach. Petrino anyone?

This year his WSU defense is actually good for a CML team. That, in my opinion, is the reason WSU has the record it currently has so far.

I have been doing a lot of reading on the Air Raid offense the past few months because our high school coach is looking to go to that next year. As you stated in one of your previous posts, Hal Mumme developed his Air Raid based of the principles of BYU OC, Norm Chow. The Mesh and X Cross are two of the main pass plays used. You can also look back at the 1990 Oklahoma play book and see it being used when CML was the OC.

BTW, he would be a good fit at the right SEC school.

I love this guy ... the rant he had about the refs and players and using breakfast ..

On the officials in the 2007 Tech-Texas game in Austin:
"It's a little like breakfast; you eat ham and eggs. As coaches and players, we're like the ham. You see, the chicken's involved but the pig's committed. We're like the pig, they're like the chicken. They're involved, but everything we have rides on this."

He was on rivals radio with Bill King for a good while ....

2002 football season we used cut ups from Tim Couch at KY to use this in HS football. We went no huddle and were HUNH back then. It can be very effective but you have to practice for it everyday. If you have questions or anything let me know. We won a lot of games that year, most in school history.
