Let them go for all i care. Kids that are more concerned with the Eiffel tower than learning how to properly tackle deserve Michigan. Its a distraction and a recruiting tool. But as you have seen the past few years....kids that want to travel the world go to Michigan. Kids that want to win championships and play in the NFL go to Bama. Since they're going when there is no practice or on-field activity, your comparison doesn't really apply. Harbaugh is giving players exposure to the world outside of Michigan. That's a good thing. If Saban did it, he would be giving players exposure outside of Alabama AND championships.
