Main thing is simply not enough reps. Takes time to see different defenses and adjust accordingly. Against Arky did not seem like BoB was willing to open things up. Against Arkansas he was 4-9 for 65 yards. That is only 44%.

4/9- Latu dropped a pass. He looked away before ran with the ball. Catch it and it's 5/9
Milroe threw a ball to Holden, and it was low... little to low and Holden couldn't hold on to it. 2nd quarter catch and it's 6/9
Milroe overthrew a ball to Burton. Little high and little off. 3rd quarter if it was little on time, it's 7/9
Milroe had nobody to throw to in 3rd quarter with 30 seconds left. this... it would've been 7/9
Milroe thew incompletion to Burton, I think he dropped the ball. It would've been 8/9

So the Milroe Stats is misleading... and you can't just look at stats and say he wasn't good at this and that... not knowing the context behind it.

The 101st in scoring was tremendously misleading because A$M had not prepared for ANY of those opponents. Because of who they had been preparing for, the QB probably knew more about the Bama defense than did Bama themselves.

I wouldn't go that far. Last year, we should've won the game. It was self inflicted efforts for Bama. Bama lost the game last year because of stupid mistakes. .. had they not done that we win that game easily.

No, it should be obvious to anyone by looking at the results of the first five games of the A$M schedule in both 2021 and 2022. 3-2 in both years and should have been 2-3 in both years. No way they could have been preparing for those opponents and then play the game they did against Bama.

It's nothing new. Danny Ford did the same while at Arkansas. Had some success against Bama, but couldn't beat anyone else and was fired. Bret Bielema admitted he took weeks off and prepared for future opponents rather than the current ones at Wisconsin.

I think it’s safe to say everyone, including Jimbo and TAM, prepare and play their hardest against Alabama and Saban. Look at Texas this year. Look at Auburn every year.

For the most part, we get everyone’s best shot.
