You can look for the bad if that's your first choice. I see it as a little hope this will wake the pro exec's up. Like I said to Casey, maybe it's a silver lining.
As example, I can see an NFL exec pissed off if he's practice teams' left tackle just got plucked by a school...or another exec is livid because he just lost his practice teams' QB.
I think those guys would have a bigger impact is "righting the ship" with the NCAA so we can get some structure in more than one area.
I really can't speak about MLB.
@Brandon Van de Graaff should be able to tell us more about how it might play out with a AAA team: NIL vs AAA salary. Here's the thing about the NIL and baseball. I believe we'd see a bigger disparity in teams in this sport versus the other two. An LSU booster for baseball is going to spend more than the majority of boosters for other teams in the conference. UofSC would have a problem bleeding money from football back to baseball. (I truly believe a lot would rather win on the diamond than the hardwood, a good number more than on the gridiron.) Tennessee would find a lot of money for baseball right now. We'll see what the new skipper can do.
Is an NBA owner going to lose sleep over a G-league guy? I just don't know.
