šŸ“” Mark Stoops says he's done submitting questionable calls to the SEC league office for review.

Don’t act like you’re alone Stoops. It’s in the nature of college football and all other sports that bad calls happen. Bama’s certainly had their fair share of bad calls go against them. Of course, Bama’s also benefited from some questionable calls … just like everyone else. So, the league offices can only address the truly flagrant errors or they’d spend all week reprimanding officiating crews.

They need to publicly reprimand and suspend and fire poor officials. They also need to make it a full time job with full accountability and review. Current system is bullshit and should not be tolerated or defended
I would certainly like it if they did what you say needs to be done … but those things will only be possible if they make it a full time position. Who’s going to foot the large bill to make that a reality? I could see it happen if the Power Five conferences break away and the new administration that’s formed does away with the current conference affiliations for officials … have one set of rules and have one group of folks charged with training and oversight. Otherwise, I don’t see the SEC acting alone … just my opinion.

If they're making mistakes while working part time—which is a misnomer in that they're working 40 hours a week as it is—how is making them full time going to correct the mistakes?

There's already a conference to conference issue when it comes to consistency; one of the biggest issues the sport addresses. Are you suggesting a full time, NCAA crew, akin to what they do in basketball where they don't have conference officials? (Have you seen some of the basketball officiating?)

(IF you recall, the NFL tried the same thing and killed it within a year or two.)
