he Alabama football program has some of the best facilities on the face of the planet. According to Mark Ingram, theyāre better than what the NFL has to offer.
Mark Ingram is an Alabama football legend and a longtime NFL veteran. Heās been a key contributor for the New Orleans Saints and now heās chatting about how the Crimson Tide has the perfect environment for college football recruiting.
When asked to say if the Saints had better facilities than Alabama, well, Ingram had an answer that might shock some folks who arenāt paying attention to college football.
āItās definitely Alabama, for sure. The Saints have tremendous facilities for a professional team. We have a great training room, a great locker room, a great sauna, steam room, cold tub, hot tub, a good team meeting room, a good cafeteria. Weāve got good everything,ā Ingram said.
And why are Alabamaās facilities better? According to Ingram, itās because thereās more money funneling into Tuscaloosa for those Alabama football facilities than what the Saints are able to put towards their facilities.
āItās hard to compare a professional team to a college team when all they do is put millions and millions and millions and millions and millions of upgrades into college facilities every year, but Alabamaās facilities, itās ridiculous,ā Ingram explained.
Itās just not comparable, according to Ingram.
āItās unfair. You canāt compare a college facility to a NFL facility because itās never going to add up,ā Ingram said.
According to Ingram, the folks in Tuscaloosa have updated the facilities quite a bit since even when he played for the Crimson Tide.
āI donāt know how to enter! The thing is just remodeled four times since I left!ā Ingram said.
And all of that is paying off in recruiting. All of it. The Crimson Tide has a lot going well for it and is able to bring in the best players in the country on an annual basis. Those absurdly great facilities are one reason why Alabama keeps winning.
