| RECRUIT Mark Ingram makes Alabama sound like college football recruiting paradise

he Alabama football program has some of the best facilities on the face of the planet. According to Mark Ingram, they’re better than what the NFL has to offer.

Mark Ingram is an Alabama football legend and a longtime NFL veteran. He’s been a key contributor for the New Orleans Saints and now he’s chatting about how the Crimson Tide has the perfect environment for college football recruiting.

When asked to say if the Saints had better facilities than Alabama, well, Ingram had an answer that might shock some folks who aren’t paying attention to college football.

“It’s definitely Alabama, for sure. The Saints have tremendous facilities for a professional team. We have a great training room, a great locker room, a great sauna, steam room, cold tub, hot tub, a good team meeting room, a good cafeteria. We’ve got good everything,” Ingram said.

And why are Alabama’s facilities better? According to Ingram, it’s because there’s more money funneling into Tuscaloosa for those Alabama football facilities than what the Saints are able to put towards their facilities.

“It’s hard to compare a professional team to a college team when all they do is put millions and millions and millions and millions and millions of upgrades into college facilities every year, but Alabama’s facilities, it’s ridiculous,” Ingram explained.

It’s just not comparable, according to Ingram.

“It’s unfair. You can’t compare a college facility to a NFL facility because it’s never going to add up,” Ingram said.

According to Ingram, the folks in Tuscaloosa have updated the facilities quite a bit since even when he played for the Crimson Tide.

“I don’t know how to enter! The thing is just remodeled four times since I left!” Ingram said.

And all of that is paying off in recruiting. All of it. The Crimson Tide has a lot going well for it and is able to bring in the best players in the country on an annual basis. Those absurdly great facilities are one reason why Alabama keeps winning.
