At this point, it is like the kid can't breathe without someone reporting it.

And honestly, this story is just sad. Apparently he went to a frat party at Texas and got told to "get the f*** out" and got beer thrown at/poured on him.

Worst part? He was drinking a Keystone Light. Vomit.

But seriously. This is just getting ridiculous/crazy. I know we have discussed before if this offseason will be a big distraction for him this year, but I really think it will. It's just a train wreck.

He's putting himself out there to have these stories written about him. Instead of "showing up to a frat party" he could have instead been "enjoying a quiet evening with his parents and friends" instead he's trying to be the center of attention. I can't really feel any sorrow for someone who puts their hand in the flame multiple times and wonders why they got burned again.

Two things here... first, respect to him for not throwing a fit but then again maybe that was more self preservation than anything I could imagine the ass whoopin he would have toted had he started anything (or in this case responded) would have been pretty major. 2nd, the hell is wrong with this guy? Why in the world would he think he would be welcomed to a fart party at TEXAS of all places? No common sense at all from this dude.

Like, I definitely know he asks for it (going to Bourbon Street before Manning Camp, going to a Texas party, etc), but it seems kinda lame. He IS a college kid, maybe he just wanted to party with a friend or something. NO CLUE why he'd choose Austin to do so, but still.

Also, apparently he only showed up with the one friend .. talk about dangerous. Johnny Football with only one ally, in hostile territory with alcohol and frat boys = disaster waiting to happen

As for the dude himself, it's like a car accident on the highway. Driving by and can't look away ..

Plus, home boy needs to learn about craft beers. Keystone is for bitches :very_drunk:

Problem he has, he just isn't the ordinary college kid like he believes he is and like what some people want to give him a pass for being. He is a 20 yr old Heisman Trophy winning quarterback that won 11 games last year "out of nowhere" as a rookie in the SEC! His azz is also underage, so he needs to keep his drinking out of the spotlight at all costs. AJ said it best when he said he was a 22 yr old college kid BUT not an ordinary 22 year old. We all know what AJ has accomplished as a player but we don't see him all over the country, jet setting, or on the social media screaming for attention. Johnny Foosball is a spoiled damn brat! He evidently has been spoon fed everything in life and has NEVER been told "NO!" by Mommy and Daddy Foosball. The kid has some issues that I honestly think some counseling might help him. He is addicted to the spotlight and attention similar to a person with a drug habit. He has to have more and more to feed his ego like the addict needs more and more to get the same "high".

Thank God I'm not a well known college athlete. A 20 year old kid can't do anything with the Internet blowing up about it. I don't care if he won the heisman or not he should be allowed to be a normal college kid. Comparing AJ to Johnny is unfair, first AJ isn't in the same spotlight as Johnny even with the NCs the spotlight hasn't been on him in the same manner as Johnny, second AJ has the luxury of having Coach Saban and Johnny doesn't lol.

But, Johnny needs to use his head. Going to a party in Austin thats serving Keystone?? I wouldn't go to a party of any kind in that craphole Austin.

I don't have a problem with him going to Austin, its a pretty kick ass city. Now, why he would do that while attending one of their most hated rivals is beyond me. I can't imagine what an Auburn QB would be treated if he decided to come party at DKE during the summer. Same goes for is McCarron went out to Auburn to party. I can guarantee they would get a lot worse than just piss tasting beer thrown at them.

I agree. I made the same comparison with someone else earlier.

What could and should be the real issue in this isn't that once again Johnny Drama didn't use his head and think too clearly about the situation he was putting himself in. There's a pic in this article of him holding a beer. Now, I'm not going to go off on an rant about underage drinking. We all did it. But when most old farts like me did that, there was no social media and/or cell phones with cameras. Considering the wonderful situations he has put himself in since winning the Heisman, including his horrible performance during Media Days, he has got to know when just stay at home and/or how to stay out of the spotlight.

Furthermore, at what point does Sumlin start putting his foot down? After tamu's second or third loss? Saban would have reeled little Johnny in LONG ago. Or will it now take either the university president and/or AD to make a statement after one of their underage student athletes was caught on camera with alcohol?

Manziel is giving his university a PR fiasco, and Sumlin seems to have no problem with it. After all, he's winning...right?

At least tilt back a Shiner Bock...

I am sick of Johnny Football, could care less what he does on or off the field. He is a solid college QB, deserved the Hypeman, but is proving to be a nuisance in the tabloids. If it wasnt Tim Tebow I heard for 4 years straight its Johnny now. Same constant talk different person. Hope he gets sacked 20 times against Bama.

The people constantly taking pictures of him are complete douches. I know Manziel shouldn't be put himself in these situations, but seriously, leave the guy alone. If he gets caught drinking or smoking pot, then let him. But you're not doing anyone any good when you take half-ass pictures of him grabbing a bong or with a beverage in his hand.

Now, whether he is high, drunk, or on LSD, Alabama is still going to rip that arse apart September 14th.
