šŸˆ LSU vs. Bama Position Comparison

QB - Lee has more td's, less int's and a better qb rating than Mccaron. Also, LSU uses Jefferson as a change of pace guy who has been causing fits for defenses. Bama will have no clue what is coming when Jefferson is in the game. Lee and Jefferson have thrown for a combined 15 td's and 1 int. Advantage LSU

HB - Richardson is the best back in the game. Lacy is a nice back and has a similar style to Trent. LSU has a variety of backs that have different strengths. Ware is a power guy who bruises defenses. Ford is the speedster who is great around the edge. Blue hits the whole hard and picks up tough yards. Hilliard emerged in the Auburn game as another power guy who lines up at FB a lot. LSU can hurt you in a variety of ways with their running backs. Slight advantage Bama

Wide Receivers - LSU has a much better crop since Shephard is back. Rueben Randle is a future 1st rounder. Odell Beckham is the best freshman receiver in the country. Maze is not a true #1 receiver. Major advantage LSU

O-line
- Both teams have great o-lines. I give LSU the edge here because Longeran is back. LSU has more depth with him back because they have backups with Hebert, Collins and Shaw. Slight advantage LSU

D-line - Bama has a very good d-line, but it is not as good or deep as LSU's. LSU will play Mingo (sack machine), Montgomery (best all around DE), Adams (speedster), Edwards (run stopper), Brockers (mammoth), Logan (disrupter), Johnson (Freak), Downs (work horse), Rasco (freshman phenom). Bama doesn't have that depth. Advantage LSU

Linebackers - Bama has one of the best linebacker crews in the country. Hightower and company have been around for a while and wreak havoc. LSU has a very good senior in Ryan Baker. Kevin Minter is progressing at MLB. Tahj Jones, Lamin Barrow and Stephan Francois will play some as well. Advantage Bama

Secondary - This is an interesting comparison. Both teams have a shutdown corner. Claiborne is better than Kirkpatrick though and more highly rated. Menzie is a good #2, but Mathieu is a turnover forcing machine and Simon has the size and skills to be the best corner of the bunch. Barron is a known commodity at safety, but Reid is starting to get recognition. Lester is solid at ss. Taylor really is the unheralded leader of this secondary for LSU. Slight advantage LSU

Special Teams - Both teams have solid kickers. LSU has a freshman that is a touchback machine and when it is returned pain will occur. LSU has the best punter in the nation. Claiborne has taken a kick back for a td already. Richardson doesn't scare anyone as a kick returner. Maze is good as a punt returner but won't get the chance because of Wing. Advantage LSU

Coaching - Saban is a very good coach. Miles is unbelievably when having more than a week to prepare though. His teams always win and win big. He out-coached Saban the past 2 seasons and I expect him to do it again. Miles likes to play up the aww shucks thing in the media, but he is really getting in coaches heads. Miles knows what Saban will do, but Saban has no clue what Miles will do. Slight advantage LSU

Like some of the Bama fans said, LSU will need (and will make) big plays. It's impossible for any defense to stop our Wr's. But, Alabama's LB's will be there in full force. I think Jordon Jefferson trying to run will be a mistake, if they want trickery like this. It all depends on the approach Lesticles takes.

comparing talent by position before the biggest game of the season is gay? Not really sure how that is. You must watch glee or something and have a greater knowledge of what is gay than myself.

I am not sure about the relevancy of how good your WR's are versus our WR's as I don't believe that Maze will be covering Randle, etc. You may want to try again and match your DL versus our OL, etc.

How is HB only a "slight advantage" for Bama. Our 2 backs are better than any back on LSU's roster right now. And LB is a huge advantage for Bama. Not one of LSU LBs would start for Bama.

Also, you might wanna check out this kid Sammy Watkins for Clemson. He's the best FR WR in the country.

I've already said that I think Jarrett Lee is a very good QB. In fact, I think he should have been the starter last season. I have compared Lee with McCarron only to show that there's not a whole lot of difference in their abilities. Lee has a better QB rating, TD edge, and fewer interceptions. AJ has thrown for more yards and a higher completion percentage. I think highly of both of them, but I have a problem with people who say we're one-dimensional with only one offensive threat. Our QB and receiver corps match up well with LSU's.

Btw, we're not worried about Jordan Jefferson. Lee is a much better QB.

Well that sure is an unbiased look at your # 1 team versus the opponent the # 2 team. We aren't talking #1 vs unranked 0-8 team here. I give your Tigers some respect at least you can show some respect for your opponent. Take those purple tinted glasses off. Even I saw some issues in Bama's 2009 team that won the BCS title.

QB- Veteran QBs vs a first year starter. -I think it's a wash honestly. Saban won't ask the QB to do much and sometimes running QBs in and out on big games can prove costly. AJ has grown a lot over the 8 games.

HB - Bama- no slight here. Sorry but LSU's different style backs just don't match up.
Wide Receivers - I may give LSU the advantage here, but Sammy Watkins is the best FR WR in the country (no contest). And why the insult of Maze? He's been starting for the past 3 years. He's no Julio or Randle but he's a good WR. You also left out TE's, and I think Bama may have an advantage there.
O-line
- Both teams have great o-lines. Tie- Both teams have veterans.

D-line - I love the cute little titles you gave them all... disrupter, freak, work horse, etc...LOL. Advantage - Not sure honestly (Plus you are comparing a 3-4 line to a 4-3 line)

Linebackers - This is one I have to agree with.. Advantage Bama

Secondary - This is an interesting comparison. Sure is, but I only agree with the slight advantage because of # 7 and his knack for getting to the ball. Slight advantage LSU

Special Teams - I agree, I haven't been impressed by Bama's Special Teams at all. Most Tide fans would say it's what is going to be our downfall. Advantage LSU

Coaching - Come on, Saban is the best coach of the two. But Miles will take more chances. I personally think the guy has a few screws loose. He is by no means a great coach. A great gambler maybe. Because of that I say wash because Saban will be conservative and play defense/ball control and Miles will go for it on 4th, fake punts, kicks, and run trick plays.

I think this is going to be an epic match up of two great defenses. I am confused by the banter from some internet LSU fans thinking they are going to walk into BDS and light up the Tide. It's downright insulting and honestly ruining the game for me. I may avoid the internet until after the game. Well the next day because I will be in Tuscaloosa that day. I'll be shocked if either team scores more than 20 points. I see this as a 14-10 game or 6-3 with nothing but FGs.
