🏈 LSU to win a Share of the NC?

Those "two" were talking something about this as they called the LSU game today. Saying if LSU wins the SEC that they deserve a share of the NC and the BCS Champ would be, well, just for the BCS Champ, because they already beat Bama.

Would this happen?

they could still get voted #1 in the AP and get the AP national championship. But I am not sure about everybody else. But to me the AP doesn't carry much weight. I mean the game is called the BCS national Championship game. The Crystal Ball doesn't have AP written anywhere on it.

Actually, they're not hellbent on trashing any rematches. However, they are completely idiotic. Possibly the worst pair of football announcers ever. They're also fairly biased against Alabama, not for the rematch, but because they've never had much good to say about our team.

Actually, both have stated on more than one occasion that Bama should not be allowed the rematch. I'd say that's trashing if there ever was such a thing.

I can understand where they're coming from.
To the outside world that WAS the GOTC and game of the year, national title, 1vs2, it was everything. We lost. To them we don't deserve a rematch and I can understand that.

To us Bama fans, (and possibly even LSU fans) we most certainly do.

Don't go trash-talking the talking heads just because they have their own opinions. They could do the same to us.

Why people get upset over what someone says on TV is just BEYOND my comprehension. Skip Bayliss was on Mike and Mike the last two days and said AJ couldn't start for any Big 12 (8) team...yet, he only has two QB's from that conference that are rated higher than he is in efficiency: OU and OSU's QB's.

Hell, that made me laugh because it was his opinion and I thought it was wrong...AND funny.

FWIW, I thought the scenario was LSU losing to UGA and then winning their bowl game...if Bama wins out, then they deserve a share. But...

I'd LOVE!!! to see LSU get awarded the AP NC and not win the BCS NC. LOVE IT!!!!

Remember all the complaints and smack talk when USC won the AP and LSU won the BCS? LSU fans said the AP didn't count. What if...

I recall a segment in the game yesterday when Danielson said he spoke with both Miles and Saban before the BAMA vs LSU game, and asked both of them what they thought of a rematch for the National Championship. He said both coaches thought it would be a good idea.

I find that interesting, because if we had beat them once...I'd be pissed if we had to beat them again. Just my feelings on the situation, but heck, it's working out for us so far.

there won't be any sharing of the BCSMNC trophy, but quite honestly i am not a fan of a rematch either. the only reason i will enjoy it is because it is my favorite team. if i was a fan of any other institution (like gary danielson and the brando clown) i would also likely not relish the idea of a rematch.

but i can say, objectively, that alabama and lsu do appear to be the 2 best teams in the country.

Its hard to not support a rematch when there are no other teams that are deserving.

OK St - loss to Iowa State
Oklahoma - 2 losses
Oregon - 2 losses
VaTech - 1 loss with a pretty crappy schedule
Stanford - 1 loss and couldn't even jump us when we lost
Houston - Haha, why did I even list them here?

We have by far the best loss you can have, to the #1 team, in overtime.

If we beat Auburn, who else is more deserving than Bama? I'd say the same for LSU if the roles were reversed. I might not like having to play them again, but would agree they deserved the rematch. It would be one thing if those two clowns just mentioned it a time or two but it has been constant since the rematch became evident. I don't like it because of the platform both have to influence the public and voters.

I for one, want a rematch, and I want us to kick their @$$ so bad that they will ALL know we are the better team, because I truly feel WE ARE, no we won 1, they won 1 - we're tied crap We were the better team that day, no matter how bad our kicker was

I would not have an issue with LSU getting the AP NC if we beat them in a rematch. Even though we should have won in November, we lost. I just don't think a team should have to beat a team twice. Mainly though, it would cause uproar in the BCS which I am all for.

If, and this is a big if, Oklahoma State destroys Oklahoma, then OK State can make an objective claim that they deserve to be in the game over Alabama and I would imagine a large number of sports media will lobby for that game. Based on the eyeball test, LSU and Alabama are clearly the best two teams and a large number of sports media people will lobby for the rematch.

I can't imagine OSU would erode enough of Alabama's lead in the human polls to leap them but stranger things have happened.
