🏈 GAME THREAD Louisville Cardinals vs Alabama Crimson Tide

21 penalties in this game, Louisville 11 @ 93yds, Alabama 10 @ 111yds.

4 hour game, unacceptable.
Yes it was long but maybe it was the penalties that added to the time. You think?:-) The game itself was 3:35 long. The game was balance wasn't it? 17-26 297 yards 42 rushing 230 yards total of 527 total of the game? I guess not all of us are going to be happy with either! It a win and now to those nasty Arkansan St.

Anyone listening to Eli? JPW and Rashad both are doing a good job considering it's their first game.
I listened to the whole thing. They both did PHENOMENALLY. Especially for their 1st live game ever.

JPW's timing with Eli was nearly flawless. Like a seasoned color analyst.

Fun fact: during the pregame show when Chris was intro'ing Rashad, it was revealed that Rashad is also a strength/conditioning intern, so he's able to help coach the guys up during the week as well.

Eli also did a great job tossing to them during huddles/breaks in action, subtly coaching them along. At one point when Jalen was in, JPW bragged on Jalen for recognizing Cover 2 after UL faked a blitz during the cadence then backing out into zone look before the snap, leaving favorable numbers for a run. After the play Eli tossed to Rashad asking "for those new to the broadcast or may not know, what is a Cover 2, Rashad?"

And Rashad NAILED it, providing a little color himself, in about 8 seconds before the next snap.

I was impressed with those 2, to say the least.

I only listened to them for about 10 mins. Seemed like they both handled it well, perhaps a little long in their commentary, but to be expected early in their journey.

I'll be listening to them more in October once marching band competitions get underway. The delay between tv and radio is tough to deal with, I'm on HD antenna/internet and haven't bothered looking for a way to sync them. Previously with a DVR it was pretty easy.
