🏈 Looking forward: Ole Miss vs BAMA

Tunsil will be out for this game and several more. He kept a loaner car from a dealership for "way to long" while his was being repaired.
The dealership is a title sponsor of Ol' Miss athletics, and the CEO is a former assistant coach at Ol' Miss.

He just forgot to rerurn the car...

My biggest concern is how Bama will put points on the board. You know OM will completely load the box against the run and make Coker or whoever pass down field to beat them. I dare say no one here is actually confident that any of our quarterbacks can do that consistently. How many INTs can we expect Saturday night? I say 3 minimum. Heck, they had 2 against MTSU.
Henry and the OL couldn't dominate against MTSU. How do you expect them to do it against the OM defense? I hope I'm wrong but I think you are looking at Bama's first loss of the year Saturday. I can see a lot of interceptions and punts and a defense that can't handle the pace of the OM offense.
I know OM has OL issues but Freeze will try to limit the effects of that by using the shorter, quicker routes which Alabama has had little success stopping. People earlier in the week were actually talking about a "bend but don't break " defense that Alabama is using and calling it a good thing. I can remember when that was unacceptable at Alabama. We wanted an aggressive, attacking, in your face defense. I'm tired of watching Bama face these fast paced, HUNH offenses with a sag-off, passive defense.

Maybe they did it for the advertising. Seriously. This is from an Ole Miss fan on an SEC board, whose wife is a huge Bama fan and son went to Bama:

"That's fine. Yet I will say two years ago I broke the struts on my truck. They gave me a loaner. I drove that truck all November waiting on my truck. I would call and ask about mine and they would ask me if it was ok to put some vehicles ahead of me since I had a loaner. After 3 weeks I said fix it. I asked them why they would let a new truck on the farm for a month. They said it was advertising that is hard to beat."

While I can see, and certainly understand this, they have to know they can't do this with a college athlete. Even for advertisement, it is still wrong....maybe even worse...( or could appear that way.)

I think you should wait and see what Bama actually looks like in SEC play. There's always a lot of testing and feeling out in the early games. Also, I watched some of the OM/Fresno game last night. Bama will run on them.

I really hope you're right because they won't win if they can't. With the pass blocking and QBs we've seen, we won't win passing the ball.

Ole Miss is 59th in the country in rush defense, after playing two cupcakes.

In their two games, they've given up an average of 3 yards/carry and 3.1 yards/carry to both teams who tried to run quite a bit. UT Martin ran it 39 times and Fresno ST 52 times. Yes, I know they didn't play good teams. I just know that Alabama is going to have to be able to pass the ball better than they have shown. You know you would load the box and make Bama beat you deep if you were coaching the OM defense.

We'll see. But, I feel like people are underselling this Bama offense based on the first two games. I think they will be able to pass well enough. And, Fresno State was making some running lanes at times.
