The University of Alabama's football team joined its fans—estimated at 30,000—Saturday in Bryant Denny Stadium to celebrate the Tide's 14th National Championship Saturday afternoon.

There were several small speeches by different members of the University. The most compelling statement came from Dr. Witt who reminded the crowd what Coach Saban had proclaimed two years ago.

“This is not the end; this is the beginning.”

Coach Saban picked up where Dr. Witt left off.

“I just want you to know,” Saban began, “that the players we have returning and the players we recruit … in the future will continue to build a team of champions that will represent the University of Alabama in a first-class way and make each and every one of you proud of your association with the University of Alabama.”

Whoever it is, he should have bought into Saban's program. Clearly he didn't, as well as Cochran's off-season conditioning programs.
