🏈 Let's assume we're looking at five undefeated teams at the end of the season. Who is going to get left out of the CFP?

• 2: ACC (CU, NC St.)
• 2: Big 12 (OU, WVU)
• 1: Big Ten, (OSU)

While the PAC still has one left, keep in mind that while the Buffs are undefeated their opponents are 1-16 with three still looking for their first win.

That leaves us with this possibility. The SECC game winner, Clemson, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Oklahoma.

I realize there's a good chance we don't see these five remaining undefeated, but if it does end up this way which team do you see the playoff committee leaving out? As I see it the decision would boil down to Clemson or Oklahoma sitting at home. In this case, I'm thinking Clemson due to the margins of victory we'll see from OU in December.

*As an aside...if UCF makes it through this season undefeated do they claim another title? I don't see how they could because there likely won't be a computer matrix that'll have them higher than the other four teams.

*What would a program like OU, or Clemson, do if they finished the season without a blemish on their record? Would that open the door for another self-proclaimed title in the playoff era?

Clemson and the zero ACC.... nothing...no competition....miami....about it...
Of course VT could help the ACC and clemson and beat ND this weekend

I think Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and Notre Dame get the benefit of the doubt. Notre Dame will get in on the money their traveling fans and brand will bring, even though I consider them the weakest of the four by far. Alabama and Clemson due to their recent Playoff success are shoe ins if they remain undefeated. They would love Urbs and Ohio State to get in and they do have the talent.

I think a one loss Georgia team would destroy Notre Dame, but we all know a one loss team will not get in over an undefeated Notre Dame team.

History has proven, and will prove again if things end up this way, that Notre Dame will get the nod. There's simply too much love for the brand to move in a different direction--and rightfully so. A good Notre Dame is good for college football in spite of my strong dislike for anything related to the Domers.

Agreed. Notre Dame has only at Virginia Tech this week and against a down FSU and USC and they'll run the table during their regular season but Georgia would beat them handily.

I've thought they'd have a hard time making it through the regular season undefeated. We're about to find out.

of the teams in the current discussion, UGA, LSU, Clemson, Notre Dame, Ohio State,, the only team i see matching up with us well across the board is UGA.....again.

if we played it out right now....i see us running through whoever we play, except UGA. i think we'd beat UGA, but it'd be a much closer game than against any of the others.

LSU is decent...but we'd still handle them by at least 2 scores
Clemson hasn't impressed me thus far...their QB issues have yet to be worked out and until they are, i don't see them dominating anyone of any importance

Ohio State....ticking time-bomb waiting to implode; and if we played them now, it'd be by at least 3 scores, if not more. they should've beaten Penn State by more than just 1 point. yes, Penn State is ranked in the top 10...but they're not that impressive, either.
