🏈 Kodi Burns

I don't think that is any rumor. He lost out on the starting job 2 weeks ago and was moved to WR if he expected to get on the field. There was talk of him being used in the wildcat formation as well. Think of it like this, go back to the Iron Bowl and there he is in the "dreaded" wildcat formation.

I only pay attention to Auburn because of close friends being barners. From what I was told today, they named Kodi a starter at WR. That's a little surprising to me...

If he can change positions and become a starter in 2 weeks then what does that say about the other talent on the team....not much. He is an OK athlete...not great.

They are VERY thin at WR...as well as most other positions.

I've heard that Kodi has been working at the WR for....maybe 10 days-2 weeks now.

Burns is a good athlete, but he's just not a QB IMHO. If he's smart he would embrace a position change.

Here's what is missing.

They don't have any talent at WR to beat Kodi at WR?

Exactly...their top returning starters are out and that leaves only freshmen or upperclassmen that have no game experience. But you would think that a WR even if he was a Freshman would be better than a converted QB...especially given that the QB has only been in the position for 2 weeks.

I just saw their depth chart in the Bham News this morning. It's a SAD thing to look at. Burns is listed at #2 receiver behind a kid with like 15 career catches. There are only 3 kids listed 3rd team O and 4 listed as 3rd team D.
