Well, I think one thing is for sure, he's certainly been offered the job, whether it is explicit or CWM has implied that he can have it, IMO Kirby has it if he wants it...

Pretty much, even if he doesnt call the individual plays, Saban designed it all, and he sets the concepts behind it. Im sure if he doesnt already, that he wouldnt mind playcalling again.

I just don't understand why Smart would leave for the same job under a YOUNGER coach. If he's patient at Alabama, he may end up with the head coach job when Saban is finished.

He may very well replace Richt within the next year or two or replace Muschamp at UF within 3 years if he is patient. Friendship is an important factor to weigh but nothing can be said for stability. If he leaves and Muschamp flops as a HC, then Kirby is out on his ear as well.

Last thing I read on twiiter last night was that according to a source out of Florida, both Smart and Davis were expected to stay put. I guess we shall see.

Only thing worse than all the rumors and speculation in the football season is all the rumors and speculation of out of the football season. This state is absolutely nuts about it. I just think Alabamians like a good controversy.
