Internet went out a little past 7:00 Friday evening. I restarted the modem/router and ONT a few times. But the ONT had a solid red ALARM light on it. That meant that the fiber signal could not get through. I got on the AT&T app on my phone and put in a service request. The guy came out yesterday around 2:00 and replaced part of the fiber cable. He said it had a break in it, which meant the light couldn't pass through. He also said he checked up on the pole and it looked like squirrels had been chewing on the line. So he put in a service call for a line technician to come out and fix that. So after the first technician left, I was still without internet service. Yeah I could use my phone and cell service, but I hate using my phone for internet as my eyesight isn't what it used to be and even thought it's a "plus" phone size, the screen is still too small for full internet usage.
Thankfully, the line technician came out fairly early and get it done. So now I'm back up and running. But being without an internet connection meant I got in some good hours of gaming (current game I'm playing doesn't require an internet connection). I also cut the grass yesterday.
