I was off this past week. There was some stuff I wanted to get done around the house so I decided to just take a week off work and get shit done.
Picked up a BUNCH of little sticks and limbs after the tree trimmers left on Monday (they cleaned up all the big stuff and hauled it off and I told them not to worry about all the little stuff)
Moved ~1000 lbs of flat rock and other stuff so I could...
Put out a little over a ton of stone by hand down 1 side of and behind my shop
Made a few more birdhouses and put them out (also made 1 for my niece and gave it to her)
Made some wooden Christmas trees for my sister and niece and gave them to them
Cut the grass
Took mom out to lunch for her birthday (79) on Wednesday
Went to my niece's house yesterday for my mom's birthday party then we took her to buy a bunch of flowers
Planted those flowers today (still have a couple more to do, but about 98% done
And I still need to go to the grocery store to pick up some lunch for this week
I dread going back to work tomorrow. It's been nice staying up later than usual and then not having to get up at 4:00am for a whole week. But that all stops today.
My sister said she's retiring at 62 (she'll get more from her pension at 62 than if she stayed until 65). And I hope I won't be too far behind her. But I'll probably stay until I'm 65.
