I think if our quaterback play is decent Julio could make noise int he heisman, but it depends on how Bama does as a team. Because as everybody knows it's more of a popularity contest more than anything...IMO

Well seriously, I think it's difficult for him to be in contention to the Heisman. We don't have a starter or reliable QB and the offensive-line is under a deep construction at this point. Maybe when season unfolds, those issues are cleared, but now it's not realistic to name him a preseason Heisman nominee...

I think it would be awesome for Julio to contend for the Heisman. I don't see it happening though...not in the type of smash mouth offense we have.

That's a good point.

I don't recall if Tim Brown was involved in the kicking game during his time at ND.

Desmond, when I think about it, may have been the guy that lead to the dawn of the term "athlete" we see so often in recruiting.

I think Julio could get into contention for the heismen because I don't think we'll have the same smash mouth offense this year as we saw last year. Just my opinion, but I think we'll be more wide open style offense.
