Ok. So I feel like Jimbo will be shopping hard this year for a new gig. He has done well at FSU but he was looking to leave for the last couple of years.

With several jobs openings after this year where do you think he is coaching next year. Do you think Tennessee lifts up their skirt and lets him have whatever he wants? I think he is there for them and would be a great hire for them. He knows the SEC, the east is crazy week, he remembers when they used to recruit nationally and I think he could get them going again and I think this is where he will land.

But there are other places he could end up as the coaching carousel begins to turn. Where do you see him coaching next year?

PS.. if Jimbo leaves I think FSU hires Jeremy Pruitt

I have thought all along Jimbo wanted bk to SEC...and really wanted LSU...
It was a good fit...it seems.....
Dont know if JP is ready or proven to be HC....
TN might grab Jimbo but...anouther Saban assistant in the SECe....
I am still one to think...AU is not for real.....good team but not real good...and wouldnt be surprised is they fell at LSU and Tx AnM...with UGA n Bama ahead...7-5?????
And they might look at JF........
Speculation I know...
And Butch at TN could well have a 10 win season...fire a 10 game winner? Missouri, Vandy, Kentucky, USM,LSU, USCe left....might win em all ( i dont think so either) and bowl game....what UT do then? And play Bama close? Not murders row...

I think Tennessee is already looking. Its not just wins at this point, he has lost the team, recruits will steer clear because of the unknown and they can see reguardless of this year he isn't the future for them.

That being said I could see them win 3 or 4 more but that is about it. Don't get me wrong.. I truly hope they stand behind him and keep Butch there. I love to watch him go all HeatMiester and get all red and splotchy. We may run it to 20 if he stays there.

But even if it's not Tennessee.. I think Jimbo leaves FSU and is coaching somewhere else next year but the question is where.. I just think Tennessee goes all in for him

I don't think he's going anywhere. He lost his starting QB in the first game. He won't finish where he wants to, but FSU won't cut him loose. Two years like this and it's a different story. He's been "on the market" the past few years due to his family situation. Things have stabilized there.

I tend to agree with @OldPlayer. Jimbo has had a run of bad luck this season with his QB going down. No reason for him to look elsewhere with the kids he will have returning either. Jimbo will be at F$U until his "dream job" and the right $ come along.

As for Bitch Jones, he has lost that lockerroom. He has players fighting at practice, not your typical practice fights either. These are to the point that they are ripping helmets off and kicking their own teammates in the face!! Read where Botch has described the injuries as a "player falling on a helmet! Shy Tuttle out with that injury. A DT ripped the helmet off of Trey Smith, their best OLineman and kicked him in the face requiring stitches. That isn't a cohesive lockerroom!!! Word is that they are swapping QBs this weekend and that the previous starter was contemplating leaving the team. A LOT OF DRAMA!!! UT loses to USCe this weekend and gets boat raced in the THIRD ASS WHIPPING IN OCTOBER next weekend. How do they survive??

FSU definitely won't fire him but he has other issues with people down there. I know his personal life has settled some after his wife cheated on him and stuff but I have heard rumblings about him being displeased with the relationships with his superiors and fundraising issues for facilities. FSU could not give him what a top flight program could give him. Tennessee has taken the cheap route with coaches for a while and are supremely jealous of our success. Their biggest financial supporters that own Pilot just sold off a bunch of ownership and have become very liquid. I just think they are prepared to make a big run at somebody this year and Gruden ain't happening. Del Rio ain't happening either nor Stoops.

So to justify the spend it will have to be a big name maybe someone who has a history of winning and an NC under his belt. I just think it would be their most plausible stop. FSU isn't a top 10 job and may not be a top 20 job as it relates to total compensation, salary and quality of life.

You have to think that Tenn is actively searching for a coach
Why go to Tennessee when you can go to Texas A&M. More money, better facilities, better fan base, better recruiting ground.

LSU regretting that decision not to spend the money...

Yeah, I think I'd take A&M over Tenn as well but the expectations will be high regardless where he lands if he chooses to leave

I don't think there is anyway that Fisher would leave F$U to go to Tenn, should the opening arise. At F$U, Jimbo has top notch facilities and recruit JUST the state of Florida if he chooses and get Top 10 talent year in and year out. At UTK, he would have the better fanbase, but he would also have to recruit nationally at a higher level than just staying local. While HS football talent has gotten better the last few years, you couldn't field an entire 1st string offense or defense with in state kids. Should the A&M job open up, WOW!!! Facilities, money out the azz, a hungry and passionate fanbase, and fertile recruiting grounds to rival what the state of Florida produces.

The facilities at FSU aren't even the best in Florida.. that is part of Jimbo's issue with them. He competes with Bama, Clemson, Auburn, GA, Fla, for recruits and all have far superior facilities to FSU. Their football facilities are old, they eat in the old cafeteria with all the other athletes on campus in. No personal Nutritionist or anything. This is part of the reason Jimbo has been looking around.. beyond his personal life struggles.

Texas A&M would be a good spot but Sumlin may save his job if he can win 9 or 10 games.

As I recall, Fisher stayed at FSU for less money than LSU was offering. A pretty substantial amount I think. I remember he got a raise of 250K with his contract extension last December.

There may be plenty of openings to pick from.
Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas A/M (depending on remaining wins), Missouri.

Although I don't think LSwho will fire EO this year, IF things don't start turning up (and fast), the bayou may be looking in a year or two. And what about Ole Miss??? I don't know too many people that would want to take that on with sanctions pending.
