And I'll never forget the interview that Jerry had a hard time answering if he was attracted to young boys, he said he was attracted to all people. I just remember thinking, who answers that question that way...Very strange reponse.

Yup.

One of about 3 things usually happen to victims of sexual abuse, depending on the severity. And all 3 things are equally devastating to either themselves, or others.

1) They become closed off sexually, sometimes hating sex. Any mate they try to maintain a relationship suffers because they don't have the capacity to enjoy a healthy sex life.

2) They become very promiscuous with little regard for their own safety, bouncing from relationship to relationship.

3) they repeat the devastating behavior on others that was done to them, because they perceive the behavior as acceptable or normal, whether subconscious or not.

I had a past friend years ago who was abused by her slightly older brother from her ages of 10 to 15. She had trouble with category 1. Obviously, her estranged brother falls into category 3. She didnt know of any other abuse that happened to her brother, nor did she suffer any from any other family member.

Severe clinical depression usually accompanies 1 and 2, with extremely negative self-perception because their innocence was stolen from them. And you usually find sociopathic tendencies in category 3, where their consciensous ability for empathy and remorse is oftentimes seared.

Sick and twisted is this Sandusky case. Obviously this dude falls in category 3 as well.
