🏈 Jalston Fowler

All indications point to him looking good, close to where he was before. Saban said that he's in the best shape that he's ever been in and he's going to continue to play H-Back and Tailback.

I noticed last year that we were running the "I" before he was hurt. It will be nice to have him back and the thought late in the game with Henry and Fowler in the backfield brings a smile.

I really want to see Fowler in the game blocking and running the ball. He is a beast and loves to hit people.
I hope we get to see a lot of people getting some PT vs Tech in the opener. It may be a little tougher than
I expect, but we'll see.
ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

I am very excited to have Fowler back, i thought last year in the 3rd quarters he put every game to bed hammering those 3rd quarters until he got hurt, as stated the thought of him and Henry in the 3rd quarter is going to be as good as it gets!

Can you imagine being a defensive player in the fourth quarter, dripping wet, exhausted, hands on your hips, blowing snot bubbles and here comes a fresh, fire-breathing 255 pound Fowler...

I don't know if you guys were lurking here about this time last year. Thinking back, I'd guess we had a dozen threads over the two months proceeding the kick against Michigan that were specifically about Fowler and the addition of the true I-form to our offense.

After the Michigan game, we discussed briefly about how we'd miss that portion of the offense but we still had our weapons. Hell, at that time Cooper hadn't "arrived" yet.

Fast forward to today...

I've not seen anyone mention how Fowler's return ALSO likely spells the return of that I-form. BUT, this time, with a playmaker in the back-up role for the H-back, TE, FB role. Hell, if you want to get technical about it, we've got three guys that fill that role now: Fowler, Howard, and Henry.

Yes, and two of the three guys can (and will) carry the ball. That's multiple and something we haven't had without Fowler.
