🏈 Jalen applied to and accepted to Grad School at...

So the word at SEC Rant is that Jalen applied to and was accepted to Grad School at Bama...also said he applied to Texas. Anybody know if:

1. This is true
2. Does anyone have more info

Just going on what was posted...no further info in that thread yet...

Looks like he sees coaching in his future.

Plays for 1 more year, then is Saban's favorite GA ever in year 2 of grad school.

I bet Saban offers him a job as soon as he graduates.

I'm wondering if Saban has talked to him about the NFL, too. I would almost guarantee if Jalen continues to improve as a passer, and he will get his opportunities to show it whether Tua is healthy or not, he will get drafted just from a sheer potential stance. Add to other things that we are doing with him offensively, lining up at slot, the jet sweeps, the read option, etc. I wonder if Saban has convinced him that he only adds to his NFL value if he shows that he is not just able but willing to play other spots and be effective there, too. I imagine a guy that can be a true "athlete" at multiple positions, as well as a QB would be very valuable to NFL teams. Most teams carry just two active QBs, imagine you have a guy that can be technically a receiver on the active roster but also be your third QB on game day.

Randall Cobb comes to mind. Played most of his life before the NFL as a QB, a lot early in college. Switched to mostly WR in his sophomore year at Kentucky. Was drafted in the 2nd round as a WR.

I believe he actually played a few snaps at QB in Green Bay, too, but I'm not completely certain of that.

Cobb, Antwan Randel-El, Kordell Stewart, Terrell Pryor all guys in recent years that played a "slash" role in the NFL and had time at QB.
