They are trying to become one but IMO,, they will have to make the football playoffs to be considered a “football school.”

Winning the SEC would be the first thing for them to do! Last time with a 5-1 record but share with UGA (1976). Out right SEC was back in 1950 with a 5-1 record (1950). In that year, after about 50 years was awarded a share of the MNC. They did beat the No#1 team as in Oklahoma.

They’re as close to becoming a consistent winning football program as anytime since the 50’s. Bryant made their fans believe they could be something other than a one sport school. Too bad the for those fans the administration didn’t share that dream.

I forgot we wasn’t playing them in football… but the last time we got boat raced on hoops…

They played WELL above their means vs us last time and it was amplified by our atrocious D pre-NCAA tournament.

The past few times when we've had a good D, we've beat them. Also Oats > Mark Pope.
