The Sagarin computer has us ranked 5th overall and Auburn 4th. Under schedule strength we are 12th and Auburn is 37th. Now then, of particular interest, the "ELO_CHESS" is what is used by the BCS. But it is not the best TRUE indicator as Sagarin himself writes,

In ELO CHESS, only winning and losing matters; the score margin is of no consequence,
which makes it very "politically correct". However it is less accurate in its predictions for
upcoming games than is the PURE POINTS, in which the score margin is the only thing that matters.
PURE POINTS is also known as PREDICTOR, BALLANTINE, RHEINGOLD, WHITE OWL and is the best single PREDICTOR
of future games.

When you look at the "PREDICTOR" column, we are ranked 3rd and Auburn is ranked 9th. We also have a 2.94 home field advantage point add-on. The actual PREDICTOR score for UA is 92.92 plus 2.94 for home field equals 95.86. AU's actual PREDICTOR score is 86.59. This means that as of this week, Sagarin's computer predicts a 9 (9.27) point victory for Alabama in the Iron Bowl.

I know it's computers, it's just very interesting...

i doubt vegas will agree and favor bama by 9. but i do like looking at stats like that....thanks.
