🏈 Ingram for Heisman

well, the best part of it is, he's only a sophomore, he's only gonna get better and better every week, he has atleast one more year with us, he and trent are gonna be a really good tandom for a few years

Sports Illustrasted has him at #9

Ingram was pretty quiet in the first three quarters, but he erupted in the fourth with 81 rushing yards and two touchdowns. 'Bama used him in a variety of ways, including as the lone back in the Wildcat formation, and he would've amassed more yardage had he not lost a direct snap on one of those plays. Considering he's the focal point of the offense on a team built to run the ball, don't be surprised if Ingram remains in the Heisman discussion deep into the year.

CBS has him on the Players to Watch list

it was pretty incredible seeing him coming off the field after that TD and Mike Johnson almost having to hold him up, he literally looked like he was about to give out right there. tons of heart.

First - I don't care for the Heisman. I'll say it again, "At Alabama, we tend to think of Football as a team sport."

That said, the link has not been updated to include the USC game. Citing his 170+ yard OleMiss game, it showed him as projected to finish with 1551 yards for the year.

Adding in the USC game with certainly draw some attention to the young man.

Stay THE PROCESS Mr. Ingram. Stay THE PROCESS.

he was tired.. i was thinking it was a mistake giving him the ball on first down inside the 10, but he deffinately earned it.. the team stepped it up for him.. drives like that are the reason i love college football..

I'm with LBS, not a big heisman fan either. I am just extremely thankful that Mark wears crimson!!! That kid is amazing, and seems to be a very good kid. I loved his interview after the game when Erin mentioned heisman to him. Classy classy kid.

i think we should pull for ingram to win the heisman.. it's a great honor for our entire team.. for him to be a candidate a few things have to happen..

1. we have to win games
2. we have to block and execute on offense
3. we have to represent the school in favor with the public eye.

those are all team concepts.. one man accepts the award, but the team earns it..

I find nothing wrong with the Heisman except for the politics that are behind the awarding of the trophy sometimes. There have been deserving players that have won the award and there are some deserving players that have not (Peyton Manning comes to my mind).

The Lombardi, Butkus, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm, etc. have all been won by Alabama players in the past and I have no problem with any of them even though they are individual awards. I am not going to lie, I would like that stinking trivia question removed from the AFLAC data base. The Heisman is part of your team's football legacy. Everyone knows that the player who wins had to have a team surrounding him that allowed him to achieve greatness.......with the exception of Tebow of course! :lance:
