I've said this before. What CNS has done in 9 seasons is nothing short of AMAZING. Considering scholarship caps, much more conference and national parity that the Bear didn't have to deal with, longer and more grinding seasons, for Saban to have 3 championships in 8 seasons to date (if we win this year, it will be 4 in 9), is a feat that arguably rivals the Bear's production (6 championships over 25 years).
He wins one this year, and another in a couple years before hanging up his straw that, he will be the greatest coach in Bama's history. 6 titles in 12 or 13 seasons? Crazy. That's winning championships half the time of your era. Sh!t. And I think Bear is perfectly fine with that, and would tip his fedora in approval and respect.
Not many programs have the prestige and mystique enough to be able to say that the 2 greatest coaches in this history of college football coached at your school.
Damn. Think about that for a second.
