šŸˆ I’m crying. "He's dumb, but he's fast."

Tiers of being a Gump? Whatever do you mean?
It was something trending on "Gump Twitter" that started about a year ago. It was divided into three tiers:

Gump: A person who lives and dies for the University of Alabama – but mostly its athletics department. There are three Gump ā€œtiers,ā€ according to Twitter user Will Elliott, who claims to have invented the tier system in his Twitter bio:

Tier 1: Normal people

Tier 2: Anonymous accounts that thrive on unfiltered tweets

Tier 3: The pettiest of the petty, trolls with a frail grasp on reality

FOG: A ā€œfootball-only Gumpā€ is a diehard Alabama football fanatic who doesn’t concern themselves with any other facet of the Capstone’s success.

FPG: A ā€œfootball-primary Gumpā€ is a well-rounded Bama athletics fan who can acknowledge that they still care more about Crimson Tide football than any other sport.

I live a couple of house down from Coach Dubose. I talk to him fairly regularly. He’s a genuinely nice old chap. He cares deeply about the game and still works tirelessly to coach kids. He’s the head coach now at Opp and I think it suits his demeanor and age perfectly. I really think he got caught up in an changing time in collegiate football. Another old horse put out to pasture…just fewer and fewer of the old timers from the heyday of Bear Bryant Alabama football. That man sacrificed so much of his life for a game that he loved and a team that meant more to him that it probably means to us on our best day and he’ll always get remembered for the disastrous end of his coaching tenure. He’ll never get the opportunity to right the wrong or redeem his name. Croom I think is in the exact same boat. These tough ole codgers have a tarnished legacy that hangs over their heads forever. It always makes me sad to think about.

Croom and Dubose both coached at the highest level, they just didn't win at a championship level, but they were head coaches. It's like saying someone was a really crappy president - but they were president.

well that sums it up, Dabo's a Gump
As dumb as Forest.

Swinney was asked recently on Sirius XM if the state of Alabama was going to put up a wall to keep him out.

ā€œI think it was all fun and games early on. It was, ā€˜Aww, isn’t that sweet’ and all that stuff. I don’t know about walls, but I am kinda like Osama bin Dabo,ā€ Swinney said, with a laugh. ā€œI have to navigate my way through the caves and back channels too make my way through Alabama these days. They aren’t happy to see me, but it’s all good. It’s a good problem.ā€

Well...it's nick that leads bama out...
As do lots of HCs...front and center...
Some arm and arm with players...
Whats the difference....
Geeze....Dabo is enjoying his success...hard work....
Whats wrong with that.........

He's just a goofball. Him running out in front of the team and chasing the cheerleaders is just goofy. Running down the hill has never been special to me, so maybe I just miss his excitement there. Saban gets lost real quick when our boys come out.
