🏈 I'm beginning to think Eddie Lacy

We all know what #3 can do, he will get his yards against LSU and if he can manage 100+, well...

I'm gonna throw this out there. LSU stopped recruiting Lacy for whatever reason (I'm happy they did). The big question I have, does this play into the game? Does Lacy use this as motivation?

Nah, this happens all the time...top programs recruit players, they go somewhere else because they decide to or the program recruiting them loads up on players and leaves them to someone else. In Lacy's case, from my knowledge, his grades were in doubt, LSU moved on and got Michael Ford, and J.T. Curtis (high school coach) was buddied up to Saban. No doubt having a great game will leave a sweeter taste in his mouth, but I doubt things like this in any way play a real factor on the field once a game starts.

I doubt ANY player on this field needs any further motivation than what already exists for this "Game of the Century". Let's hope it lives up to the hype!

As memory serves, LSU stopped recruiting Lacy when it looked like there was no way he would qualify academically. Eddie worked hard, and by the last semester of his senior year he had a chance to make it, and they tried to get back in. Eddie stayed with the one who had stayed with him the whole way, at which point the so-called "character issues" emerged. I don't think Eddie needed any extra motivation to get himself ready for this game, but if he did, he certainly has it.

I don't think anyone needs any further motivation either. Who knows what is in his head though, if he needs to use that to help him play better then so be it.

its not that he needs any motivation for the game... the question, does he use it as motivation

people find all kinda things and ways to motivate them. how many athletes in the NFL use their draft location as motivation, how many athletes use their family situation as motivation.

everyone is motivated for/by something...

example, I work for a living - I get paid a salary, but I go the extra mile to get a bigger bonus/raise/stock options/spiffs...
