🏈 Im am so pissed off

I think most Bama fans understand we are undergoing a building process. I did see a few fans at the game with true mullets and cut-off blue jean shirts. So what do you expect?

Ouch.... Bones, you didn't tell if they were your family.... jking

No one demands more of himself, his staff and his players than CNS. If we weren't having difficulties we would still have CMS. I think the fast start and teh SAban aura created unreasonable expectations. Yes, he is a great coach, but there aren't any "chopped liver" coaches in the SEC, or at most of the schools we play. It takes time to change mindsets and bad habits. At least this year we aren't on the verge of a delay of game penalty on virtually every offensive snap, nor have we had to burn time outs to avoid those penalties. We've seen some improvements, but we are a work in progress.

i just want saban to enjoy coaching here instead of people criticizing every move he makes.

If it's any consolation, I doubt Saban reads our site. The people you need to worry the most about are those closest to writing out his checks, and those attending faculty meetings. We have a history there and it's not a good one. If Saban is getting agitated about anything you can bet it's due to some of those people running around campus (and I don't mean the players).
Im very worryed about that myself. Im worryed about people like Finus Gaston and Chris King those kinda folks.

I'd never put Finus Jr. and Chris in the same sentence. Same category, for that matter.

I don't disagree that Chris goes over and beyond, but considering the last decade, I don't mind it at all.

I think that I've told Terry this already but I've talked to Chris King myself regarding our site here no less, and he strikes me as a preety good fellow. My impression of him was that he is maybe a little overly careful, but given our recent history that's probably a good thing.

When I spoke to him it was regarding some compliance issues and internet message boards and he was very respectful. He never said that we couldn't what we wanted regarding this particular issue, he only asked if we wouldn't do it out of respect and love for the school we support. Kind of a "just in case we're wrong" scenario. I can respect that.

Most of the true fans and Bama supporters are very realistic in their expectations this season and next. We understand it is a process. We also understand the need for strong recruiting. It is our rivalries and the media who fan the flame and continually bash Bama fans as unwilling to be patient. For those of us who had the luxury of growing up with Bama during the "Bear" years or those, like Bobby Bowden, who even had other Bama idols - we fully realize that we are rapidly becoming the minority. Most of our student and many of our fans were born after Coach Bryants death. Don't get me wrong, like any other program, we have a few ignorant fans but, as another poster stated, CNS is not listening to us. The press gives him the most frustration. He has made it very clear that media relations is his least favorite part of the job but he has 32 million reasons to deal with it. If anyone is going to make him reconsider the Bama job, it will be boosters and old, big Bama money. The egomaniacs need to let him do his job. We just need to remain classy and respectful and continue to act like we are always winning. We had a championship last decade like only 9 other teams. This decade is not complete. Hey CNS, can I put on my crimson glasses for a minute and tell you that 2009 is a must for a NC! Somehow, I don't think he will ever read this request (lol).

2009 a MUST for a NC?? Lets just be realistic folks and win another SEC championship first, and do a little Barn burning. The nation and teams are getting so even its going to be VERY tough even for the BEST of teams. Lets take it one step at a time please. Chill

Though I hope there is no barn burning, I think this post is right. You can have a great coach and a great team and not win the NC, especially playing in the SEC. Bama needs to worry about dominating the state first, then the SEC and then start worrying about NCs. The way things are now just because you are a good team doesn't assure you anything.

I know it, Im just worried about beating Ole Sis Saturday. I'll worry about the glass egg when they tell me its our time for it. My wife is an Auburn fan and stays on boards all the time as well. Alabama is extremely delusional about the NC's of old and next year and Auburn is extremely worried about Alabama and how many times they fart and worried about taking away UA's championships. I wish we could talk about FOOTBALL.

I don't think we talked about this Keith, but I've had similar conversations with CK. A lot of the last few conversations were just BS'ing...but, at the same time the definition of booster has grown so exponentially to where, if they wanted, the NCAA could call members of message forums boosters. I really feel for the guy. He's in one of the most difficult jobs imaginable.

From above - my reference to the crimson glasses and the lol was to let you realize I was joking! I am not expecting a NC in 2009 (maybe wishing for it each night on the star along with the winning lottery ticket) but I am very realistic about where we are and I believe in CNS ability to get us there.
