We have a member, though I haven't seen him post in awhile, that is a self-admitted UT fan who married into an Alabama family. I recall conversations with him several years agoāpre-Kiffināand futile attempts to tell him the UT administration was crumbling from the top down. Boosters were unhappy with Fulmer. They were unhappy with with most of the programs there, sans women's basketball. I recall telling him this won't end soon and there will be people left in the wake.
He stopped posting right around the hiring of Kiffin and when he was running his mouth at every given opportunity.
Now, we see all of that in its whole. DiPietro "screwed Ol' Smokey" when he hired Hamilton. In fact, about the only smart move they've made "on the hill" is the firing of Fulmer. He had come to the pointāmuch like Tubsāto where he thought he could rest on his laurels.
While I think Dooley was a move in the right direction, I hear frequently he's not getting the support he needs to be receiving from the powers that be.
-The only person there that has carte blanche is Summitāand deservedly so. (I do love to see Geno get under her skin)
