I still find it funny when I read or hear some of my fellow Tide fans say something about Dabo coming home at some point. The truth is Daboās not leaving Clemson even if momma calls him home. And why would he? Heās forever set with the Clemson fan base and influential boosters, heās making as much money as he would in Tuscaloosa, he has total control there, he can recruit the same players as Bama does, etc. Most importantly, his wife and children love Clemson ... and heās devoted to his local church. In fact, he and his pastor are extremely close friends. Plus, his mentor (GS) has made it clear he would never advise him to do so. No, heās not Bear Bryant ... and heās not leaving Clemson. Truth be told ... Iām not too disappointed in that either. Saban looks to be in great shape and 69 today is what 55 was when the Bear roamed the sidelines. So, Iām not concerned much at all with whoās going to replace Saban.
