Just looking at how it might shake out....If Bama wins they will have the one seed....If Bama loses do they still get in? Bama would be atop of the one loss teams right? If that happens will Bama and Uga get in? If Bama beats UGA will Uga fall out? With OKU being 5th and Ohio state being 6th.....How does it all shake out? Obviously Michigan is done as a 2 loss.

I think Bama can still get in as a #4 if they lose against UGA as long as its not a blow out. Ohio State has to be pulling for the Tide and Texas to win this weekend if they want in as the number 4. I really do not think UCF has any real chance to be in the top 4 when its all said and done.

I think most who would look at this objectively would take Bama at the #4 spot over any of those other teams if Bama were to lose a close game to UGA. The only one who has a legit claim IMO is Ohio State. They have the talent and ability on their roster to compete. Oklahoma's defense is so terrible that I just don't think they should get a look. UCF is.. well UCF minus their QB, godspeed to his recovery.

Oklahoma would be an easier game IMO. I think their QB under pressure would throw picks like a machine. He has some running ability that would gain big chunks of yardage, but I don't think much of their offense given the level of defensive play they have faced. OHio St, on the other hand, appears to be putting things together in the last few games offensively and have maybe a notch or two better defense than Oklahoma. They would be the tougher team to face methinks.

If we lose this weekend I still think we get in. We beat every team on our schedule by atleast 22 points. No one else in the country can say that. If we lose, it will be an anomaly, because there is no reason we should lose, and I honestly think the committee would know that lightning most likely won't strike twice, leaving us as the biggest threat in the entire country. Our lone loss would be against the #4 team in the country, another point that we belong, and no other team can say that they loss to a Top 4 team. Look at last year and their faith was rewarded by us winning the entire thing and taking out the almighty Clemson.

Taking on other questions if we win, Clemson wins, and with Notre Dame being finished, I think Oklahoma gets in. I don't agree with it, because they will get wiped out by a team that plays defense, but that's what I think will happen. Kyler Murray being the #1 threat to Tua for the Heisman will be a major factor for viewers, even though Haskens has had a great year too, Murray will wow the viewers. They will play that up when the decision is made even though the trophy is given out well before the game. Storylines are a big deal, and I think Kyler and Oklahoma would create bigger storylines than Haskens and CUM. We all know non-defensive teams just don't win the Natty. Look at Oregon multiple times.

If Bama loses close they probably still get in depending on if Oklahoma can win by 20-30 (not gonna happen). If Bama loses by more than 10 I doubt they get in without some other losses. Out of the 1 loss teams, Bama would obviously be the better of them (except UGA who would have beaten them) but I think they may want to keep us out.

Take a moment folks and look at Kramer's old relic that most of the time does nothing for college football except create attrition, the CCG.

In the Pac 12 it's 9-3 Utah vs 9-3 Washington. Nothing to do with the playoffs. Tits on a bull.

In the ACC, it's Clemson at 12-0 vs mighty Pittsburgh at 7-5. What's to prove? Tits on a bull.

In the B1G and Big 12, I lump together this year cause this is where we find ourselves watching a beauty contest between Oklahoma and Ohio State for final entree into the playoffs. Wouldn't it be more fun if they actually played each other for that honor? The quest is simple, who can generate the bigger beatdown on an inferior product. Oh, the intrigue. In the end, it won't be any easier or factual than if you did it now. Tits on a bull.

Which brings us to the only semblance of a CCG that actually proves something this year. Bama 12-0 vs Jawjaw at 11-1. Truth is, the experts are still saying Bama could lose this one and still make the playoff. So after this game, both teams could still go in. These 2 teams are considered to be the 2 best teams in the country, why not expand the thing and we'll play them there?

The CCG is mostly a waste, again. Expand the playoffs to 8 games. Let the best record have home field and quit wasting our attention span on meaningless games that create attrition with no real consquence for the playoff.

Thank you, for your kind attention.

All about the $$$. These games don't mean much for most outside of the SEC but they are revenue collectors for the conferences and NCAA.

So, how hard would it be to take the first round of the playoffs and make it the same payoff as the CCG?

Hardly brain surgery.

I'm sure there are people in the background with their hands out that would not benefit from that, so I'm sure that's why.

There is no power 5 conference that's going belly up if all this foolishness with CCG was finally put to rest and we all got on with an 8 team playoff. What did we all do before 1992 and the SEC Network? Just fine, thank you.
