šŸ“” If ACC boycotts state of NC again, proposed bill would force UNC & NCSt. to leave ACC

Hang on a second and consider this for a second. As members of the ACC, both UNC and NC State brought in more money than Mississippi State in the last reporting cycle. In that '14-'15 report the SEC had five of the top ten, ten in the top 17. Now, bring those two into the SEC?

The revenue increased by roughly 25% when A&M joined the SEC. Even if they only received half of that bump (we'll call it 15%) they are in Oregon's league, Louisville's league, and your Washington's of college football in terms of revenue.

The watered down comment was more associated with their sports programs, not the money they bring in. Texas A&M is well known for deep pockets, but their on field product has been nothing special.

And comparing the ACC schools to Mississippi State validates my point. Do we really want that level of teams added? To me it's not all about the money, it's an overall value. North Carolina may add that, especially on the academic side, but NC State is another lower rung program most likely tossed into the East.

Both schools have too many athletic teams that the SEC doesn't compete in. Men's soccer, lacrosse are the starters. What makes it worse is that these are sports they are good at.

NC State plays in the SELC for Lacrosse. Bama's rowing team is in CUSA. If it came down to those programs, affiliate member status wouldn't be too hard to achieve.

They would not miss NC St.
I'm reminded of a game in '96 where if it wasn't for a late interception Bama may have lost their last contest with the Wolfpack. Granted, that team was beat the hell up when they traveled to Raleigh that season. Nevertheless, NC State gave a good Bama team a run for their money that season.

Point is this ...

I'd give the NC schools as much of a chance to make an impact on the SEC as I gave Mizzou--probably more if I thought about it more intensely.

Certainly in football more then USCe.....yes....they would add more then Missouri.....which was a terrible add...
But....the states should unite and all pass bathroom bills....thats not anti anything...thats just decency and privacy.....good lord where are people and their good sense.....
