šŸˆ I Want to Thank Jalen Hurts!

My statement was in regards to transferring to Nebraska. Between the two, he’d be better staying...

Scott Frost is running the spread concepts that are in Jalen's wheelhouse and he is a good coach so I can't say. Nebraska was just a team that was brought up, it could be any team as far as I know.

What I know, or think I know, Jalen wants to play. If he had gone anywhere this season he was going to have to sit out the season, so he wasn't going to play, no matter what. That was the trade off for him. I believe he concluded that staying at Bama and getting great QB coaching with Enos was the better choice. I also believe him when he says he loves the school and his teammates. Next season, I doubt seriously he wants another year on the bench. Plus he is a much better QB than he was in the A-Day game. He's accepting the coaching and is making adjustments in his style and the game against Georgia was the best decision making I've seen him make.
Nebraska doesn’t have the tools in place to enhance his talent.

My 1st guess would be FAU...

Either way, we're back to Jalen leaving. But we have 2 games to play and it should be fun.

I really hope someone breaks down that fourth quarter. Jalen was unbelievable. Honestly, one of the better plays was the third-and-long pass to Irv Smith. Dude stood right in the pocket, pocket closing in on him, and delivered an absolute bullet. Then scrambles and tosses up a little bit of a floater, which at first I thought just wasn't a very good pass but he put it in a spot that only Waddle could come down, between a corner and a safety. And the TD throw to Jeudy, just a thing of beauty. Scans the field, nothing there and pocket starts to collapse, he scrambles and directs Jeudy to go where he wants him and delivers another absolute bullet. Can't give him enough credit and Dan Enos has done a magnificent job with him. If Locks leaves, we better think about moving him up because I really dont want to see him go.

That throw was a bullet. And what made it even more impressive is that Jalen had just come into the game. Tua got hurt, Jalen comes in cold. We run Najee wide right for a 2 yard loss making it 3rd and 12. Jalen stepped up in the pocket and delivered a perfect strike to Irv for the first down.

There were many key plays, but that was certainly high on the list.

Compilation of 2nd-half scoring plays..

I love this.

Wow... on Jalen's TD pass to Jeudy... #71 had a pretty bad and obvious hold on #1 for UGA.... glad that wasn't called...

and on Jalen's TD run... Smith blocked his DB back 5-10 yards... keeping him deep in the endzone so he couldn't make a play on the Jalen... so well done by a young WR.

It also appears on that play it wasn't a designed QB run... Jalen diagnosed the open middle and saw a lane... and instantly took it. What a great decision if so....

Infect? Sure, okay...

Lookit, I am not one who celebrates an individual because the media tells me I should. I look at the merit of individuals; I don't vote strictly (R) or (D). I look at a case like Kaep. The talking heads on ESPN, etc. celebrate him. They have made sure his political message is put before anything else. I can see why he wasn't resigned; he wasn't worth all the money because he is not the all-star he made himself out to be. Over the last year or so, he has made it a point of not wanting huge sums of money, and Lord knows the man has paid his penance. I'd be willing to sign him cheap, knowing that he's probably going to play on the practice squad most of the season.

With all that, it's comforting to know that the media (granted it is Allen West) can find an athlete and celebrate his character, how he put his team above his wants and how he is now being publicly rewarded for it.

So if one needs some penicillin for for such a tweet, I'm sure there is a doc-in-the-box somewhere nearby.

A post like this is exactly what he was talking about. No one wants to debate about freaking Colin Kaepernick. You can celebrate Jalen without attempting to bring a nonsense debate into a places its not need nor wanted.

It was an RPO. Jalen was asked about it in the post game press conference. He said he had one particular player (outside backer I think) that was his key on that play. If he went into coverage he could tuck it run. If he stayed in as a spy on Jalen there would probably be someone open in the pass game.

Yeah, Jalen had a key on the RPO. He read the right key and the rest is history.

Heard McElroy talking about it today. He pointed to that same pass to Irv I was talking about as the biggest example of how unbelievably improved Jalen is as a passer and was glowing when talking about Enos.

Incredible story. Incredible.

I could have never seen this coming to fruition coming into this season... First off, him staying and grinding it out. Second, him improving to this point as a player. Third, finding the clutch factor to come in and pull it out under that pressure.... Amazing.

A tip of the cap to the posters who kept the faith in Jalen as a player... Like I said - I sure as hell didn't see this coming. A big Roll Tide to Jalen!
I appreciate this post. A H/T to you for acknowledging such.
Since I was accused of waiting for my "told ya so" moment, is it too soon for me to go for it?;)
Oh yeah. With you, it's always too soon!
