Nick Saban knows verdict of Tony Brown's NCAA suspension appeal, he just can't reveal it
The saga of Tony Brown's suspension took another turn Wednesday.

Nick Saban said they've received the results of their appeal to the NCAA.

"I'm not sure we're allowed to announce it," Saban said. "I'm being honest with you. I'm being honest with you. I'm not trying to keep anything from you. I was told not to announce it."

Brown was suspended for six games, AL.com reported in July. The appeal was to have it reduced to four, which reportedly was successful.

"Let me just put it this way, everything has been done that needs to be done for him and Johnny Dwight both. That's all I can say about it."

Brown, a defensive back, was suspended days before the Cotton Bowl. It extended to the playoff title game. Discipline for Dwight had not been previously discussed.

On August 4, Saban was asked for an update on Brown's status.

"We're sort of having a work in progress with the NCAA," Saban said after Alabama's first practice of the season. "At some point in time they'll give us a decision based on what they feel is their punishment for him or whatever. When that comes, we'll let you know. We're preparing for the season as if he's going to be suspended for several games."

I'm kinda over just being mad at Tony Brown. As a fan, I just mostly feel sad, cause I miss his immense talent on the field. Every time I actually see him playing, he flashes greatness, and you just wonder what could have been. And then, here comes more trouble, man it's frustrating with this guy after three years. But, he's still here and that's impressive in itself. In spite of all the weirdness that keep following him around, no one can question his resolve to play football at Alabama. Given this is probably his last year at the Capstone, here's to a great finish.

Tony is Tony's worst enemy.

My guess is...He will get on the field late this year and then be a solid replacement for Eddie Jackson at safety next year. He will go in the 4th round to a good team and will be a solid contributor for 5 or 6 years. ; )

Where was Robert Foster at practice yesterday? That begs the question.... where has he been on game days as well? I had high hopes for him this year but he hasn't been targeted much in when he has made it on the field.
