Interesting/unfortunate fact about this era of muscle carsā¦more US citizens died in car wrecks in late 60s early 70s than our soldiers in Vietnam war.
a guy I grew up with had a 68 that was red with a black vinyl top. It had been stripped for drag racing, but still nice. I don't know as much about Chevelle's as I do Camaro/Firebird/Corvettes, but I do know that thing is cammed out!
Early to mid 90's, I had in my yard a 70 SS Chevelle, a 70 Monte Carlo and a 71 Cheyenne Super 10 long bed.. Was pretty expensive to keep up insurance, registration and upkeep. Ended up selling all three over a few years. Next car was a 94 Buick Regal, which in 2001 traded for a 2000 GMC which I still have.
